There is a number of good reasons as to why I take great pride in our Pre-Owned department! But these are some of my favorites;
Through the buying and selling of pre-owned BMX products, I am able to offer good deals on used bikes and parts, as well as carry discontinued and/or collectible parts! It brings a special degree of variety to the shop catalog.
Sourcing pre-owned inventory literally revolves around me being able to put money directly into the pockets of my fellow riders and business owners!
Recycling / repurposing non-damaged bikes and parts back into the community is a fantastic way to help cut back on BMX's carbon footprint, and make sure that otherwise still good and safe products get used for their intended purpose / life span.
It allows me to offer riders store credit (towards their next purchase with TCS) for their old bike(s) or part(s.) Think like GameStop - but BMX.. and waaay more rad!
Quite the contrary! Here at TCS, all pre-owned products are serviced and inspected by a BMX professional with more than 15 years of riding, building, and online selling experience in the BMX Community.
All used bikes and parts are thoroughly cleaned and checked over for damages prior to being listed for sale. All cosmetic blemishes / damage will be highlighted in both the listing photos, and the product description.
ALL BROKEN / NON-FUNCTIONAL / UNSAFE / ETC. PRODUCTS GET DISPOSED OF OR DONATED TO BE RECYCLED INTO ART.
If interested in selling your old bike(s) or part(s) to the shop, your best bet is to send me a DM on social media (@tcsbmxshop) complete with detailed photos, a part list, and a price.
If we can agree on a price for your stuff, then I am happy to get a PayPal payment sent over to you right away! (Cash / CashApp / Venmo also available, but only upon delivery of your old stuff.)
If you are interested in Store Credit towards your next purchase with TCS, I am also happy to write up a Store Credit code right away - I just will NOT be able to ship your order until I have received and processed your end of the deal.
If you are looking to donate cheap OEM bike(s) or part(s) for our CPO (Certified Pre-Owned) Shop Bikes, you are welcome to mail those in at any time!

The TCS CPO (Certified Pre-Owned) Shop Bikes are my approach to keeping BMX affordable for beginner and intermediate riders that need quality BMX Bikes, but for department store prices!
Each and every CPO Shop Bike is different - some may be used complete bikes, while others may be "custom" builds made up of various OEM and budget components that I have laying around the shop. And some may be in their original condition, where others may be custom painted, etc.
But one thing remains the same across all CPO Bikes.. They are all built and serviced by a BMX professional to ensure a smooth quality ride, but for a fraction of the cost of similar bikes!
As with all Pre-Owned inventory, I highly encourage you to check out all the photos and the product description to make yourself aware of the exact condition of the bike you are looking at.
*** These bikes are primarily built out of used OEM and Budget Parts that are DONATED to the shop.. The idea behind these bikes is to build them for as close to FREE as possible, so that I can then sell the finished bike for as close to FREE as possible. This is no easy task when accounting for any of the parts on a bike that are NOT free / donated.. not to mention my time, labor, and resources invested into refurbishing, rebuilding, and servicing these bikes! ***
